On September 19, 2016, Robert “Bob” L. Harper passed away at the age of 72.  Born in Sophia, West Virginia, Bob lived in Odenton since 1977.  Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He then worked as a truck driver for Giant Food where he retired after almost 30 years of service. Bob had been active in GORC (Gambrills-Odenton Recreation Council) and also loved to play golf with his friends and was an avid Redskins fan.  Most especially, he loved spending time with his grandson Justin.

Bob was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Marian J. Harper.  He is survived by his devoted daughter Robyn L. Bell (of Odenton), his loving brother Donald Harper (of Virginia), and his cherished grandson Justin Bell (of Odenton).  Bob was also predeceased by his brother Howard Harper and his sister Phyllis Ann Harper.
