Robert Joseph
Foy
Jul 6, 1933 — Sep 1, 2026
Robert Joseph Foy Sr., 93, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend.
Born in Severn, Maryland, Robert grew up in the area and graduated from Glen Burnie High School, where he was a talented baseball player. Proud of his country and dedicated to service, he went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. He was the devoted husband of the late Lois E. Foy, with whom he shared 69 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they happily resided and raised their family for most of their lives in Gambrills, Maryland.
Robert was a man of vibrant energy who adored his family above all else. He brought joy to those around him through his many passions. He was an avid athlete who loved playing softball for many years. He also loved spending quiet days fishing and always looked forward to sharing a meal of steamed crabs with those he loved. He spent many happy moments dancing, listening to music, and watching old movies. Above all, he was a passionate fan of the Baltimore Orioles, always cheering on his favorite team. His warmth, enthusiasm, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois; his parents, Alexander and Helen Foy; and his beloved pets who brought him so much companionship and joy throughout his life. He is survived by his devoted children, Joe (Donna) and Deanna (John); his brother, Carl; and his sister, Helen. He was the proud grandfather of 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.
