Rita Ann Dillard

Rita Ann Dillard, 83, of Severn, died May 8 in Glen Burnie. Born November 29, 1929 in Ames, IA, Rita was the daughter of the late Charles W. Knox Sr. and Mary E. (Fatula) Knox. Rita grew up in Laurel and graduated from St. Vincent Pallotti High Shcool. She retired from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and the Archdiocese of Baltimore. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and singing in the church choir. Rita was preceded in death and survived by several brothers and sisters.

She is also survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Howard M. Dillard; three sons, David H., Matthew S. and Joseph H. Dillard Sr.; six grandchildren, Rebecca Leigh, Stephen Douglas, Christine Marie, Joseph Howard Jr., Jessica Antoinette and Justin David; and four great-grandchildren, Alannah, Ella, Davin and Reagan
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 13, at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 14. Interment services will be private.
