Raymond H. Fuchs

Raymond H. Fuchs, Jr. of Odenton, MD, formerly of Arnold and Glen Burnie, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Tate Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum, MD, at the age of 76. Ray was born on May 30, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Raymond Henry Fuchs, Sr. and Aletha Ruby (Stouffer) Fuchs.

Ray graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and worked for Baltimore Gas & Electric for 38 years, starting as a lineman, and retiring as an Operations Analyst. He was a member of Glen Burnie Lodge A.F. & A.M. #213, Annapolis Tall Cedars #126, and the Glen Burnie Elks. Ray enjoyed traveling, antiquing, and was a civil war history buff. He also enjoyed helping his neighbors and volunteering for the Eden Brook Community.

Ray is survived by his wife, Marilyn A. Fuchs; two daughters, Robin Ann Howard and Merrie Pamela Albin; step-son, Michael J. Milio; step-daughter, Teresa Milio Birge; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Miller and former wife, Merrie Robin (Crouthamel) Fuchs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Florence Burns and grandson, Daniel Raymond Foard.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122 or at www.hospicechesapeake.org .
