Rameshbhai B. Patel

Rameshbhai Bhavanbhai Patel was born to Valiben and Bhavanbhai on 10 September 1945 in the village of Tavdi, India. The 2nd of 3 siblings, Rameshbhai grew up in Tavdi and attended SVR Engineering College in Surat, India. Upon achieving his bachelor of Engineering, Rameshbhai worked at the Gujarat Electrical Board for 10 years. He then emigrated to the United States of America in 1976. A few years later, he married Hira Patel in 1979. In that same year Rameshbhai became the business retail store owner of Kurly’s Jeans store in Greenbelt, MD. Shortly thereafter, Ramesh and Hira gave birth to their son, Prashant in 1981. Ramesh and Hira operated the store together for many years until 2013. During retirement, Ramesh welcomed in his two grandchildren, Anik and Ayla, in 2018 and 2022, respectively. Rameshbhai Bhavanbhai Patel passed away at his home on September 17, 2023 due to health complications.
