Pranab (Paresh) C. Haldar passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Teresa's Residence in Laurel, Maryland at the age of 81. Paresh was born on August 13, 1933 in Bihar, India to Kanika and Anath Bandhu Haldar. Paresh is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pratima (Putul) Haldar, two daughters, Swarnali Haldar and Barnali Haldar, a son-in-law Swadesh Guchhait and two grandchildren Samantha and Jessica Guchhait. He is also survived by a brother, Prodyot C. Haldar, sister Aparna Ghosh, and first cousins Ratna Ghosh and Swapna Ghosh Mazumder. Paresh and Putul moved to the States from Calcutta, India in 1975 with their two daughters to provide for better educational opportunities. He left behind many deep friendships and family behind who will miss him dearly. He was a kind-hearted, loyal, and patient brother, husband, father, grandfather (Dadnu), neighbor, and friend. He not only loved his grand-kids but his grand-pets who also loved their "Treat Man." He loved art and his hobbies produced many beloved and cherished art work for many of us. He was a man of few words but touched the hearts of many.
