Born in Pago Pago, American Samoa, Pitolua Leupolu affectionately known as "Pito" to family and friends. "Nana" to her grandkids. She carried her culture, values, and traditions with pride wherever she went. She was a pillar of strength for our family; a top tier mother figure, aunty, cousin, niece and friend to many. Pito was honored and respected by all who knew her. Her laughter, wisdom, caring, fun-filled, energetic infectious spirit, and unconditional love will forever echo in the hearts of those blessed to know her.
Pitolua Leupolu was the devoted wife of Aaron Leupolu and the proud mother of three remarkable children with a bonus of 2 Children in loves: David & (Carolina) Leupolu, Angel & (Darren) Osouna, and Phillip Leupolu.
She was a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren: Junior, Matai, Bella, Dante, Dimitrius, Elisha, Isaac and a great-grandmother to five: Messiah, Atticus, Leona, Zion, Evangeline.
She was a beloved Sister to seven siblings: Elia Laumaile, Hosea Uelese, Uelese Sene, Faalua Puni, Gagau Gasio, Lotu Enosa, and Tuiolo Fiatau Mezie.
Pitolua was a beloved daughter to her late parents, Ruta Sailele Sene and Falemalama Tagoilelagi, and was raised by her bonus Father Sene Uelese. She was cherished and deeply adored by her many nieces and nephews.
Pito radiated love to everyone around her, and that love was deeply reciprocated by the many people who cherished her. She was often considered the life of the party, as her vibrant energy and joyful presence could light up any room she entered. As we reflect on the countless messages, tributes, and heartfelt conversations shared among family-friends-we are overwhelmed by the immense impact our mother - Pitolua - had on everyone within her circle. Her legacy of love, strength, and unity will live on through all whose lives she touched.
Pito’s life’s work was a reflection of her discipline, intelligence and dedication. She honorably retired from the National Security Agency. A skilled administrative professional to VIP personnel, she was passionate and took pride in having a keen eye for detail. She was outspoken, genuine and never afraid to speak her mind. Her Aquarius spirit beautifully balanced strength and sensitivity, allowing her to always lead with both heart and honesty in everything she did.
Today we say goodbye to an extraordinary woman who was everything to us. As a wife, she was both a companion and a sanctuary; As a mother, she embodied a love that knows no bounds. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she was sweetness and home; and as a sister, she was eternal kinship.
A great woman may leave this earth, but she leaves behind the gift of her example and the strength of her devotion. We will carry her legacy with us and never forget the grace, love and strength her beautiful soul poured into this world. Though she may not be physically here with us, her light does not fade, it remains burning bright within each of us.
