Nancy C. Goggin

Nancy “Bird” Cresap Goggin, 87, formally of Severn, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on December 4, 2021. She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia to the late Edward and Ruth Cresap. Nancy worked as a nurse at the University of Maryland and then became a loving homemaker after the birth of her three daughters. She was a long time parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Glen Burnie, and a member of the RCIA and Marriage Preparation team. Nancy was an avid reader, and enjoyed dining out and traveling with friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Joseph Thomas Goggin.

Nancy is survived by her devoted daughters, Patricia Dean, JoAnne Buccigrossi (Brian), and Clare Goggin. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, Joseph Dean (Jessica), Matthew Buccigrossi, Jacob Buccigrossi and Megan Buccigrossi.

A Visitation will be held at Donaldson’s Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, December 15th,  from 2:00 pm to 4: 00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 16th at 11:30 am,  at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Odenton, MD. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make donations in her name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake or SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
