Michael R. Hadley passed peacefully at his residence on November 25, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on August 15, 1950, in Utah, Michael was a long-term resident of Severn, Maryland.

Michael's military career as a Marine was a testament to his strong sense of duty and discipline. After his distinguished service, he transitioned into the realm of Information Technology, where he continued to serve the government as a contractor. His contributions were characterized by a professionalism that reflected his values, leaving a mark in both fields through his unwavering dedication.

Michael’s simplicity and private nature defined his personality. He found joy in the simple things in life, notably as an avid gun collector, devoting much of his time to reading and learning about firearms and their history. This passion extended to the outdoors, where he enjoyed walking his beloved dogs multiple times a day, embracing the tranquility and companionship they provided.

He is survived by his long-term partner, Sasivara Sophato; his children, Michael II and Kyra Hadley; his siblings Lowell Hadley, Mark Hadley and Diane Ellsworth; and his grandchildren, Michael Hadley III, Isabella Hadley, and Helena Hadley. Michael also leaves behind his step-son, Lester, who cherished him as a father figure.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hadley, and his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Hadley. Their memories will remain alive in the hearts of those who knew him, as will Michael's legacy of love and dedication toward family and friends.

As family and friends gather to remember and honor Michael R. Hadley, they reflect upon a life marked by service, passion for knowledge, and a profound love for family, whose memories will continue to resonate within their lives. His journey may have come to a close, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
