Melvin L Wittmann

May 10, 1936 — February 6, 2015

Melvin L. Wittmann, a resident of Severn, MD, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. He was 78.

Melvin enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1954. After serving his country, Melvin came home and worked for Westinghuse/Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems and retired after 39 years. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Baltinore Orioles were he worked for 19 years. But traveling and spending time with his grandchildren meant the world to him. Melvin was also a member of the Glen Burnie Elks #2266.

Melvin is survived by his loving parter, Mary Lee Dymicki of Severn, MD; four children, Willia m, David, Danny and Rick (Vicki) Jessop; two sisters, Lois (Jim) Smith and Kathleen (Mike) O'Hare: brother, Robert Wittmann; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ruth Jessop Wittman;

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 3pm to 5pm & 7pm to 9pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie, MD at 11:00am
