Mary Jean M. Nagy, age 76, passed away at her home in Glen Burnie, MD on January 6, 2023. Mary Jean was born April 16, 1946 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Robert MacFadyen and Mary Rocchetti MacFadyen. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, MSgt William Anthony Nagy, U. S. Army (Retired).
Mary Jean is survived by her two daughters: Oriole Saah and her husband Ron of Silver Spring, MD; Kathleen Brunner and her fiance John White, of Jacksonville, FL.; her grandsons Nicholas Saah, Bradley and Alexander Brunner; and her brother John MacFadyen and his wife Ellen of Manchester Township, NJ.
Mary Jean graduated from South Brunswick High School, Class of 1964. Her work outside of her home included roles as bank teller, Sacristan, and a variety of secretary/ administrative positions.
Mary Jean was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Lawrence parish. She enjoyed walking with her friend Leah, meeting with her “Lunch Bunch,” Bible Study with Mary Ellen, reading, and crocheting. When her daughters were growing up, their friends knew her house was the best place to find hot chocolate and a good game of Kings in the Corner or Skip-Bo. She enjoyed playing Bunko with friends and attending events or taking day trips with the Retired Officers Wives Club. She never missed a chance to go to a baseball game.
Graveside Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with date and other details to be announced when arrangements for burial with her husband are completed.
