Marjorie M. Hodges

November 30, 1951 — November 30, 2024

Columbia

On May 12, 2025, Marjorie “Margie” M. Hodges passed away peacefully at home. Born in Frederick, Maryland, Margie lived in Hyattsville before settling in Columbia. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to the late Michael D. Hodges; devoted mother of Keith (Marcelle), Glenn, Brian (Tara), and Kevin; loving sister of Louie McMurry (Sally), and the late Michael and Vincent McMurry; and proud grandmother of Brooke, Jackson, Sophia, Wyatt, and Levi.

After graduating high school, Margie attended business school and went on to work as an Office Manager in a doctor’s office for over 30 years. She had a deep love of music, a soft spot for her rescue dog, and found her greatest joy in spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren.

A private service will be held for immediate family. Friends and loved ones are warmly invited to celebrate Margie’s life on Monday, June 2nd, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Turn House, 11130 Willow Bottom Drive, Columbia, MD. Please join us in sharing memories, laughter, and love in honor of a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Small Miracles Cat & Dog Rescue, 10236 Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21042, or online at www.smallmiraclesrescue.org
