Marie Edith Joseph

Marie Edith Joseph of Laural, MD  passed away on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018. She was 58 years old.

She was born on March 31st in the year 1959 to the late Montal Joseph and the late Altagracia Pierre in Léogâne, Haiti.

She immigrated to the United States in 1980. For 38 years, that is where she lived, worked, was married, raised her family, and became a naturalized citizen. Marie was an active  member of Church of God in Silver Spring, MD. She also maintain close contact with the members her former community at the First Haitian Church of the Nazarene in Federalsburg, MD. She enjoyed going to church, fundraising for charities, spending time with family, and watching telenovelas.Marie was a woman who was full of life with the ability to form long lasting bonds with whoever she met, wherever she’d go. She was a person with the dream and determination to uplift her family, community, and the world at large.

She is survived by her three children, her brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews  in Brazil, Canada, Haiti, and the United States. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and her twin sons.

A celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Friday, November 9th at 12:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home and Crematory P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road (Route 175), Odenton, MD 21113.
