Margaret Evelyn Cowen

On April 11, 2012, Margaret E. Cowen, (nee Abell) peacefully departed this world for the next at the age of 93. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late William George Cowen, the dear sister of Agnes R. Thommen and the late Paul and John Abell. She was the loving mother of Mary C. Dunlap, a resident of Odenton, Maryland, the cherished grandmother of William Dunlap and his wife Anna, also residents of Odenton, and the loving great grandmother of Lillian Margaret Dunlap, daughter of William and Anna Dunlap.
Born in St. Mary's County, MD, Margaret lived most of her life in Glen Burnie after traveling to Baltimore with her family as a child. After training as a nurse, following World War II, she became a devoted homemaker who enjoyed reading, Gardening, handwork, and most of all, taking care of, and spending time with her family.
