Marc Eric Clasen

Marc Eric Clasen of Linthicum, MD, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, at the age of 50.  Marc was born on May 1, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY, to Marc Thrane Clasen and Marcia Elizabeth (Gargiulo) Clasen.

Marc grew up in Bowie, MD, through high school and graduated from the University of Maryland (College Park).  He was Director of Policy and Legislation at the Maryland Department of Human Resources.  He was the handiest of handymen; he could build or fix anything.  But most of all, he loved his family, fishing, crabbing, and the Washington Redskins.

In addition to his parents, Marc is survived by his wife of 9 years, Jamie Jeannette Clasen; two sons, Marc Anthony Clasen and Brian Craig Clasen; his daughter, Mary Caterina Clasen and his brother, Donald Andrew Clasen.

Family and Friends will gather at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. The family will honor Marc’s wishes with a private cremation.
