Madeleine L. Deshmukh

Sanjay Deshmukh and Lainey Ahillen are sorry to announce that the heart of their first child, Madeleine Louise Deshmukh (Maddie), beat for the last time on November 1st, 2016. She was already an angel when she was then born into the loving arms of her parents on November 3rd at Reston Hospital Center at 8:29am weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces and measuring 21 inches. She spent the day embraced and surrounded by family including Thomas and Catherine Ahillen (her maternal grandparents from St. Louis, MO), Kiran and Neeta Deshmukh (her paternal grandparents from Johnson City, TN), Carrie Ahillen O’Neil (her maternal aunt) and Aneel Deshmukh (her paternal uncle) who all loved her and raced to be by her side.  She has a huge family and friends all over the world who were not able to meet her, but sent love from afar.  We have no doubt that she felt no pain, and only this love.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 6th near Sanjay's fire house in Odenton, Maryland, at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Rd., Odenton, MD with a viewing from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, a short service at 5:00pm, and then a reception at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, 1425 Annapolis Rd, to follow.  The following day, Monday, November 7th, there will be a viewing near the family’s home in Virginia at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  All are welcome to attend any or all of these.

Texts, phone calls, and emails to the family are welcome, but we prefer not to relive this on social media.

In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a memorial donation in Maddie’s name to the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company or March of Dimes Foundation.
