Lorraine May (Griffis) Snell-Miller

Lorraine May Snell-Miller, 88, a 20 year resident of Gambrills, MD, returned to her heavenly home at 2:20 PM on December 9, 2015 after a valiant battle with complications froma  long term vascular disease in her right leg. Her devotion to the family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.  Lorraine was born to the late Harold & Beulah Griffis of Saint Paul, MN, on August 17, 1927.  She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age.  Lorraine is survived by her husband Bill, her son Michael Snell, her daughters Maureen Lord and Colleen Cummings from her previous marriage, her sister Jeanne Partin and daughters Vickie Rassa and Sherry Netz from her present marriage.  Lorraine was kind and soft spoken.  She always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small.  She will be missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.  A service will be held at the Grace Pointe Community Church of the Nazarene, 61 Gambrills Road, Severn, MD, 21144 at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2015.  Senior Pastor Dr. Phillip Bolerjack will officiate the service.  The family gratefully declines flowers, but donations to the church are acceptable.  Thank you.

Lorraine will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10:00 am.
