Lois Whitt Bowling

Lois Whitt Bowling, 89 of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away on April 30, 2025.

She was born in 1936 to Allen Whitt and Virgie Whitt in Tazwell, VA.

She retired from the McIntyre Child Development Center where she worked as a daycare teacher for over 25 years. She enjoyed teaching children, serving in her church, watching football, and listening to gospel music.

The family is especially grateful for the excellent care given by Arcadia Assisted Living of Crofton.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Pamela Wilson and husband Richard of York, PA, and Jeanine Doherty and husband John, of Odenton, MD, 3 grandchildren, Andrew Wilson, Jayna Detweiler and husband Jared, and Karynne Doherty, and 1 great-grandchild, Avery Detweiler.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Robert Lee Bowling.

All are welcome to attend an interment service to be held at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, Maryland on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1:00pm with a reception following at Riva Trace Baptist Church.
