Linda Judy Senne

Linda Senne Comings, a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at her home. She was 56. Linda was born on August 27, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas and was the daughter Helmut Senne and the late Gerlinde (nee Budzyn) Senne.

Linda lived a full and exciting life.  Linda spent her first 16 of 20 years growing up in Germany as a “military brat”.  She had the opportunity to travel globally with a youth organization and was able to see most of Europe during that time.  Linda started college at University of Maryland – Munich campus now known as University of Maryland Global.  She was a trend setter!  She left Germany in 1986 to move to Bowie, Maryland to continue her education.

She never met a task she couldn’t conquer.  She and her loving husband Steve traveled, played golf, and enjoyed their time together.  After a 26-year career with Verizon, Linda started a new career sharing her passion for Wine.  She devoted time to teaching people the intricacies of the varietals which she loved.  Linda and Steve traveled extensively to wine country and to enjoy her other passion golf.  Linda has played almost every top golf course in the world including Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, Pinehurst #2, Olympic Club (St. Francisco), Carnoustie, Sandy Land (Barbados), PGA National, and Turnberry.

When Linda identified a passion, she jumped in with both feet.  She was a member of the Executive Women’s Golf Association, where she volunteered at the Senior PGA Tournament at the Baltimore Country Club as a hole captain.  Linda and Steve were also active members of the Crofton Country Club where she was part of the Crofton Ladies Golf Association.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Steven Comings; devoted brother, William Senne; cherished niece and nephew, Sarah, and Mark Senne; caring father-in-law, Alfred (Fred) Comings; three kind stepdaughters, Stephanie (Jamie), Teresa (Asfer), and Victoria (Amrit); five precious grandchildren, Malachi, Matthew, Mark, Sarah, and Anna; Linda is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Lorraine Comings.

In addition, she is survived by her loving fur babies Princess Kate, Queen Elizabeth and preceded by Sir James Higgins and Petey.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm were a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hospice of Chesapeake, and/or the Skip Viragh Center for Pancreatic Cancer at Johns Hopkins.

A celebration of life will be held August 27, 2023 at the Crofton Country Club from 2-6pm.
