Linda K. Cannedy of Gambrills, MD passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, June 13, 2014 in Annapolis, MD after an extended illness. She was 69. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth G. Kistler, and father, Clyde W. Kistler. She was an only child. She is survived by a son, Christopher A. Cannedy of Pasadena, MD, two aunts, Phyllis Cloer of Niceville, FL and Doris Beard of Newton, NC and a host of adoring friends who loved her and acquaintances who knew her. Born and raised in Lincolnton, NC, she lived in Gambrills, MD most of her adult life. She was retired from the National Security Agency (NSA) where she was an Administrative Officer and Office Manager. She also worked for the State School System. A devout Christian, she was a member and organist for the South Shore Baptist Church in Crownsville, MD. She enjoyed Christian music, yard sales, collecting teapots, Christmas decorations and being with any of her many admirers and friends. She was a generous supporter and contributor to a variety of churches, missions and human service organizations that help needy or underprivileged people, including jail and prison ministries and boys clubs. She was a devoted mother and a caring friend. She will be sorely missed.
