Lawrence "Robbo" Leroy Robbins

December 14, 1929 — October 22, 2015

Lawrence Leroy Robbins better known as “Robbo” of Odenton, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015. Lawrence was born on December 14, 1929 in Odenton, Maryland and was the son of the late Walter and Theresa Robbins.

Lawrence served our country as a proud member of the United States Army.  He then retired from Amtrak after 43 years of hard work on the railroad. Lawrence was a member of the Odenton Heritage Society, American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He loved baseball and was a diehard Yankees fan. Lawrence enjoyed bowling, playing the horses at the track, numbers, walking, gardening and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchild.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Clara Robbins; one daughter, Cindy Barrow and her husband Bob; five sisters, Josephine Tomasik, Betty Burk, Mary Jones, Nancy Cutler and Linda Formby; two grandchildren, Tiffany Rabuck and CJ Rabuck and one great grandchild, Dominick DeRosa.

In addition to his parents Lawrence was preceded in death by three siblings Norma Call, Dorothy Mayr and Walter “Buddy” Robbins.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, Maryland 21113 where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment services will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, Maryland.
