Kenneth Lee Mccall, Jr.
June 23, 1955 — May 15, 2015
On May 15, 2015, beloved son of Dorothy and Kenneth McCall, Sr., of Gambrills, MD, died at his home in Columbus, OH, of natural causes. He was 59. He was born into a military family on June 23, 1955 in Washington, D.C., and traveled with them on their assignments in the United States and Germany.
At an early age, he acquired a love for music which led to his receiving a scholarship from Norfolk State College when he graduated from Arundel High School in 1973.
He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1981 serving his country with distinction for 8 years during his enlistments.
Kenneth, Jr., pursued his education earning an Associate Degree from Anne Arundel Community College and later a BS Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix in May 2011 and was elected a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society.
Kenneth, Jr., is survived by his loving parents; son, Kenneth Lee McCall, III; sisters, Cheryl Rivers-Hailey and Nicole McCall; nephew Ronald Teagle, Jr.; niece, Dominique Teagle and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm and on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A Celebration of Life and Home Going Service will be held at 12:30 pm. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032.
