Kenneth "Bordu" Mac-Henry

Kenneth, Borduri, Mac-Henry passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at his residence in Crofton, Maryland, age 48 years. Kenny was born on December 15, 1963 in Freetown, Sierra Leone to Mrs. Ina, Catherine (Wright) Henry and the late Mr. Daniel Jack Henry.

Kenneth, known to his family and friends as "Bordu" was quiet, caring, loving and a family oriented person. He was a great provider, a loving husband and a wonderful father. He showed great love to his family and friends. He was a very happy person who loved to laugh and indeed loved his life! He was conscientious, hardworking, dependable and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. He loved making people laugh and had nicknames for all of his family and close friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Kenneth is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Laura Mac-Henry (nee Cowan); two children, Khalipha Thomas and Kennra Mac-Henry; three sisters, Mrs. Theodora Lewis from Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Yvonne Smith and Mrs. Sylvia Wise in Freetown; two brothers, Mr. Dennis Henry in Freetown and Mr. Desmond Henry from Brooklyn, New York; mother-in-law, Ms. Modupeh Johnson and father-in-law, Alex Cowan. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, aunts-in-law, uncles-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, cousins-in-law, close friends, members of the Odenton Church of God and Sommerset House in Bethesda, Maryland.

The family will receive sympathizers at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Odenton Church of God, 1460 Berger Street, Odenton, MD 21113 Viewing: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m Funeral Service (Homegoing Ceremony) will commence at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery in Odenton, MD.
