Kathryn Ann Hall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn Ann Hall, 79, of Riva, Maryland on Saturday, February 28, 2026 after a short illness. She was surrounded by her family.

Kathy was born on October 18, 1946, to Mary Ellen and Joseph Glorioso in Leavenworth, KS. After a move to Maryland, Kathy graduated from St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, MD, in 1964. She went on to work for the Bell Atlantic Telephone Company for over 20 years.

In 1966, Kathy met George Edward Hall, whom she wed in 1968, going on to have two children, Lesley and Emily.

Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her five grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker, with numerous recipes for which she was "famous." A voracious reader, Kathy accumulated an enormous collection of beloved books. Kathy's love for animals and the joy she took in caring for them was passed down to her daughters and all of her grandchildren. She filled her home with antiques and rare treasures and a warmth that was inviting and comfortable for all who visited. She will be greatly missed.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen White, and father, Joseph Glorioso. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George E. Hall, children Lesley Hall Delaney, and Emily (Jeffrey) Hall McGuire and grandchildren: Kathryn Eileen Delaney, Margaret Mary Delaney, George William McGuire, John Walter McGuire, and Benjamin Robert McGuire, in addition to her sister Susan Matteo and brother Joseph Glorioso Jr.
