Kathe M. Guerrieri

Kathe M. (Nee Arndt) Guerrieri, 75, a 44-year resident of Odenton, died July 28 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1934 in Melsungen, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Meta Fischer Seydel.

Kathe was a devoted wife and beloved mother, and worked for an interior decorating firm for several years. She most enjoyed time with family and friends, gardening, cooking/baking, crafts, decorating, and participating in German cultural events.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernardino C. Guerrieri, who she married in June 1953. She is survived by daughters Monica Hawse (and her husband Edwin), Rose Baker (and her partner David Rudisill), Teresa Guerrieri (and her partner Joseph Farinato), and her son Michael Guerrieri (and his wife Judy). She was the grandmother of Joshua Mayer, Eric Hawse, Jonathan Hawse, Emily Hawse, Olivia Guerrieri and Sara Guerrieri. She is also survived by two sisters, Ursula Lundberg and Liesel Waldau, and one brother, Uwe Seydel.

The family will receive visitors at Donaldson Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, Maryland on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a celebration of her life and memorial service beginning at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to a research organization to learn more about
and one day find a cure for the rare and terrible Multiple Systems Atrophy disease.
