Karen Renee Burns

Karen Renee Burns of Glen Burnie, MD passed away surrounded by family and friends on December 3, 2019 after battling breast cancer.

Karen was born on October 27, 1971 to James and Marsha Burns. She lived a short, but full life working as a real estate appraiser, raising a daughter, Casey Noel, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, watching Hallmark Christmas movies, and making everyone who knew her laugh until they cried. In 2014, she married her soul mate, Donna Schroth, her loving partner of 16 years.

Karen is survived by her wife, Donna Schroth, her daughter, Casey Burns (Brett), her son, David Wright (Alaina), her sisters, Stacey LaPrad (Kenny), Mandy Burns, Jamie Burns, and Salena Burns, her aunt, Terri Roberson (Debbie), her in-laws, Shirley and Donnie Schroth, her step-children, Susie Sebastian (Jon) and TJ Sebastian (Corey), her many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews, her soon-to-be grandson, Jameson Reed Edwards, and some of the best friends anyone could have, whose support has been greatly appreciated. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Marsha and James Burns.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow to Glen Haven Memorial Park, Glen Burnie, MD.
