Kala S Ochaney

Our dear mother, Mrs. Kala Sakhawatrai Ochaney, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on September 13, 2024. She lived a long and fulfilling life. She celebrated her 100th birthday last month, on August 25, surrounded by her lovely family members. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She was a warm-hearted, kind, and generous person. She filled our home with love and warmth.

Mom was  blessed with a green thumb and always knew the tricks for growing more fruits & vegetables or how to transplant flowers. She traveled within the country and around the world. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Our parents, Kala Ochaney & Sakhawatrai Ochaney, got married on May 11, 1942. During their 63 years of marriage, they had 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Lachiram Bodomal Thadani ( father), Morebai Lachiram Thadani ( mother), Variyaldas Thadani ( brother), Guni Motumal Assija ( sister), and Srichand Thadani ( brother).

She is survived by her 2 brothers Ramchand Thadani and Chandulal Thadani, her children, Gul Ochaney (son), Asha Bhojwani ( daughter), Kiran Atmaram ( daughter), Mahesh Ochaney ( son), her 7 grand children and 6 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 11am on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory - Address: 1411 Annapolis Rd, Odenton, MD 21113. Tel: (410) 672-2200
