Jyotsnaben N. Patel

Jyotsnaben Patel, 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 16, 2023. Jyotsnaben was born on March 25th, 1930 to parents Natoobhai and Mahalaxmiben in India. She was married in 1948 to Nagindas Patel and in 1956 they moved to Singapore. There she raised her two children Varsha and Umesh. Between 1994 and 2000, she traveled and stayed with her son in Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore once again to help raise her grandchildren. In 2001, Jyotsnaben moved with her family to the United States. Since 2005 she lived in Maryland and enjoyed a peaceful life. She loved to cook, read, and play mahjong. More than anything she loved staying connected with relatives through frequent phone calls and large photo albums. Jyotsnaben was a devoted wife to Nagindas and the loving mother of Varsha and Umesh. She was also the beloved grandmother to Vishal, Vikas, Trisha, and Ashish and great-grandmother to Kaya, Niam, and Suhani.
