Joseph E. Wilkinson

On February 28, 2017, Joseph E. Wilkinson of Severn was called home. Born on November 25, 1932 in Washington D.C. to the late Charles and Margaret Wilkinson. Devoted husband of 62 years to Marion Wilkinson (nee Cosco), beloved father of Steven Wilkinson, Suzanne Spikes, and Joseph Wilkinson; cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 13. He was predeceased by his eldest son Thomas Scott Wilkinson on June 12, 2002.
Joe proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for 23 years before retiring. He then worked another 14 years for the Department of the Navy before retiring again. Joe was a member of the Fleet Reserve, the American Legion, and the Elks. He was an avid golfer, coached little league when his sons were younger, and also enjoyed watching and playing sports. Joe also looked forward to reading the newspaper every day.
