Johnnie A. Goode

February 22, 1946 — February 15, 2020

Ft. Washington

On February 15, 2020, Johnnie A. Goode, 73, went to be with the Lord. Devoted husband of 48 years to Betty Goode (nee Murray) and beloved father of Shawn L. Goode and his wife, Sherry. He was predeceased by his mother, Esther Goods, and his brother Thomas Goods. Born in North Carolina, Johnnie was a resident of Ft. Washington since 1984 and lived on Andrews Air Force base (both in Maryland) and Travis Air Force Base near San Francisco, California, before that. After he graduated from Hillside High School in Durham, North Carolina, he proudly served his country for 23 years as a member of the United States Air Force. After honorable discharge in 1987, he went on to work as a Logistics Supervisor for 29 years until he retired for the second time in 2016. For 43 years, Johnnie was a member of the Masonic Roscoe C. Cartwright Lodge No. 129. He enjoyed reading and watching football and baseball, but especially, he loved spending time with his family.

Burial will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery on March 12th at 1:00 PM.
