John Nelson Leatherwood

John Nelson Leatherwood a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Laurel Regional Hospital in Laurel, MD at the age of 81. John was born on February 4, 1930 in Dorsey, MD and was the son of the late Morley H. Leatherwood and Wilhemina Ruth Smith Leatherwood.

John is survived by his loving wife, Alberta Leatherwood of Odenton, MD; daughter, Jacklyn K. Young of Secretary, MD; two sons, Ted R. Leatherwood of Severn, MD and Thomas D. Leatherwood of Laurel, MD; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Kris, Sarah, Kelly and John; one great granddaughter, Riley Alexis.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 636 West Lexington Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
