John Erbe

Erbe, John T. Sr., John "Jack" Thomas Erbe Sr. passed away suddenly on Monday, May 31, 2010 at home due to natural causes. Born in 1925, Jack served three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II, retired as a Lt. on the Anne Arundel County Police force in 1980, then worked part-time at Nyquist Paints for another 15 years. He was the beloved & devoted husband of the late Shirley M. Erbe. "Poppy" is survived by his daughters, Mary Owens, Cheryl Shell & Stacey Swain, 6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Poppy is preceded in death by his son Jack Erbe, Jr. & Brenda Erbe. Jack was an active member of the Glen Burnie Elks 2266 & Turtle Club. Services and interment are to be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements by Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A.
