John A. Denton Sr.

On November 5, 2015, John A. Denton Sr. of Odenton passed away at the age of 69. Devoted husband of 47 years to Sandra S. Denton (nee Sharp); beloved father of John A. Denton Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Odenton; Loving brother of Eunice Porter of Crofton, Tillman Denton of Severn, Paul Denton of Brooklyn Park, Pauline Harris of Colorado, Ada Lusk of Laurel, Mazie Parker of California, Arlene Leudtke of Severn, and David Denton of Odenton; Cherished Pop Pop of Makenna Rae Denton and Madalyn Reese Denton. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. John proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He later retired from the federal government after 20 years of service. John belonged to the American Legion and was a lifelong member of both the D.A.V. and the N.R.A. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, fishing and camping.
