Jerold "Jerry" A. Sauer

Jerold (Jerry) A. Sauer’s unexpected passed  peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was just shy of his 85th birthday (August 12) Jerry was a proud 30+ year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the PA Army National Guard. After his retirement from the USAF, he worked as a DOD civilian then as a military contractor. Most recently Jerry loved volunteering at the BWMC in the Cardio Pulmonary Rehab unit. He enjoyed walking, and used to walk about 5 miles per day before COVID. Jerry was widowed from his wife, Dorothy M. (Feb 2007) and is survived by his three children Dennis A. (Mt. Airy, MD), Kimberly A. & James H. Burton (Manassas, VA), and John C. (Hanover, MD), and sister Elizabeth Kraus (Fairview Park, OH).

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1283 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
