Jennifer spent most of her adolescence as a military dependent moving across the United States, Panama Canal zone and eventually settling in Severn, Maryland. She graduated from Fort Meade Senior High School in 1983. She received her certificate as a Computer Operations specialist in 1986 from Yorktowne Business Institute. In 2002 she also earned a Certificate in Network Information Technology from TESST College of Technology. Jennifer went on to work at Goddard Space Flight Center Hubble Telescope Operations. Throughout her life, she continued to work at other prestigious companies until her final position with APWU Health Plan where she was a valued member of the team.
Known for her boundless energy and love for shopping, Jennifer could spend an entire day browsing stores and running through malls, always on the hunt for the perfect item. If you ever mentioned needing something, Jennifer would go out of her way to find it for you. That was just who she was – thoughtful, determined, and kind.
Jennifer’s favorite sport was watching tennis matches. This was a passion she pursued with joy and dedication. One of her proudest moments was taking a solo bus trip to New York to attend the U.S. Open, an experience that spoke to her adventurous spirit and deep love for the game.
She also had a special place in her heart for animals. While growing up she had a dog named Misty. Misty brought her years of joy and companionship. Although Jennifer always hoped to have another dog, Misty remained her one and only.
