Jeanne Denise Lloyd, 72, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025.
Born on January 9, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, Jeanne was the beloved daughter of Mary Alice and Royce Albert Lloyd. As the daughter of an Air Force serviceman, she traveled the world throughout her childhood, living in countries such as Scotland and Japan while spending her teenage years in Anniston, Alabama.
She pursued her education at Prince George’s Community College, earning an Associate of Arts degree, and went on to build a meaningful career as a librarian at Westvaco in Laurel, Maryland.
Jeanne will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and her many passions. A devoted John Denver fan, she found joy in music, her cherished dogs Camden and Lyric, and cheering on Alabama and Washington football, as well as the Baltimore Orioles. She also had a deep love for reading and an unwavering interest in politics.
Jeanne’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her loving sons, William “Shane” Lloyd and Michael Howard McAdams, and her adored grandchildren, Beckham Michael McAdams and Audrey Mae McAdams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce and Mary Alice Lloyd, and her brother, Sam Lloyd.
In memory of Jeanne, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the SPCA in honor of her two beloved dogs, Camden and Lyric.
Her strength, humor, and love will live on through those who knew her best.
