Jeanette E. Colby

Jeanette E. (nee Reising) Colby (74), died May 6, 2022 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Born May 14, 1947 in Westphalia, Iowa, to Ambrose and Dorothy (nee Wirtz) Reising, she was a 30 year resident of Columbia, MD. Growing up in Texas, she attended Central High School in San Angelo, graduating in 1965. On January 4, 1969, she married Stanley E. Colby in the chapel at the Goodfellow Air Force Base (Texas). On March 1, 1975, they welcomed their daughter Catherine Elizabeth (Colby) Graves.

Jeanette enjoyed word puzzles, watching game shows and westerns on TV, and talking with her lifelong friend Mickie in Minnesota. She accompanied her husband on assignments to Turkey, Italy, and Germany, visiting France, Luxembourg, Austria, Belgium, and Holland. She was a Godly woman, well loved by her family and friends.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stanley Colby and her daughter Catherine Graves. She is predeceased by her parents and her sisters Marlene, Jane Ann, and Janie.
