Jane Irene Glattke

Jane Irene Glattke, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, passed away at home in Severn, surrounded by those who love her. Though she later made her home in Maryland, Jane spent most of her life in Pennsylvania, where she was born and raised.

Jane was known for her remarkable talents in the kitchen. An amazing baker and cook, she worked for 17 years at Dunkin’ Donuts during a time when donuts were baked fresh in-house—work she took pride in and excelled at. Her love of creating extended beyond food to fabric; she was a gifted quilter and a cherished member of the Faith Baptist Church quilting club, where her skill and fellowship were deeply appreciated.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Irving Glattke.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Debra J. Glattke (DJ), and DJ’s wife Joyce Lammers; her sisters Donna (Eby) Stockdill and husband Bob, and Edith (Cappy) (Eby) Slesinger and husband John; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Interment will take place in Pennsylvania at a later date. Donations in Jane’s memory may be made to the Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland.
