James Alan Williams

James A Williams, age 67, passed away peacefully on August 21st, 2020.  He was born on September 8, 1952 in Covington, VA to Harrison R. Williams and Clara B. (Bane) Williams.  He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1972 and was deployed to Vietnam in 1970.   He became a civilian employee of the US Government and retired from civilian service in 2010.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 160 in Glen Burnie, American Legion Post 276 in Severn, and a 40 continuous year member of "Loyal Order Moose", Lodge 1483, Berkeley Springs, WV.   Mr. Williams is survived by his brother Danny R. Williams (Beryl); Sisters Rowena R. Haley, Blanche C. McPherson (Bruce), Brenda W. Markland, and Jackie Conroy (Tim); nieces Lisa Williams-Touray, Karen Mayberry, and Melissa Kelly, and nephews Kevin Markland, Scott Markland, and Andrew Kelly. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law Clarence Haley and nephew Daniel Williams Jr.  A private interment is planned at Crownsville State Veterans Cemetery.
