On August 29, 2016, Helen Audrey Kaloleoka’amo’onohu Fuse passed away at the age of 75. Born in Hawaii, Helen lived in Gambrills since 1980, after returning from six years in Berlin, Germany where her husband was serving with the U.S. Army. Devoted wife of 56 years to Louis “ Lou” S. Fuse; beloved mother of Michelle K. Copeland, and Mitchell B. Fuse; loving sister of Frank Pickelsimer, Larry Pickelsimer, Carol Santos, June Aguon, Donna Pickelsimer, and Gloria Gillett; cherished grandmother of Samantha Fuse, Amy Fuse, Alexandra Kim, Monica-Marie Fuse, Kimberly Fuse, and Justin Mayes; adoring great-grandmother of Ryan Loveless, Ryan Kim, Lauren Kim, Emily Sloan, Cameron Vancho and the late Hunter Defibaugh. Helen was pre-deceased by her mother, Katie Inn Pickelsimer and father Joseph M. Pacheco and five siblings. She is survived by many other loving family members and dear friends.
Helen served in the United States Army and later worked as a hairdresser and cosmetology instructor before devoting herself to being a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling and visiting wineries with her husband, flower gardening and crafting. Most especially, she loved being with her family and spoiling her dog Piper.
