Harshadrai Mohanbhai Naik

Harshadrai Mohanbhai Naik passed away peacefully on the afternoon of October 12th, 2021. He was 90 years of age.

He was born in Ichhapur, Gujarat, India. He moved to Mumbai in 1956. He went to Gujarat University in Ahmedebad for undergraduate studies and later attended UDCT at Bombay University to complete his BSC Tech. In 1960 he then traveled by steamer ship to the United States of America to attend University of Loisville for further graduate studies. He came back to India in 1964 and started with his entrepreneurial activities in Chemical Processing and Chemical Intermediates.

He and his wife Subhadra raised two sons and a nephew in Bombay.

He and his wife Subhadra (Amma) would alternate their time from visiting and staying with their two sons in the USA, and staying in their home in Mumbai. They enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and watching them grow. He loved his family immensely and devoted his entire life to them.

He lived by example for the younger members of his family to emulate.

He is survived by his wife Subhadra (Amma) Harshadrai Naik, his elder son Saurabh, daughter-in-law Shraddha, grandchildren Saureen, Shreyas and Sunny, grand son in law Somil, grand daughter-in-law Ashley and great-grandchildren Saveria and Sohail.

His younger son Rajiv, daughter-in-law Mina and grandchildren Anjali and Rushil.

He is also survived by a large extended family and a group of friends in India and the USA.
