With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Harriett Morgan, affectionately known as Joan to her family and friends. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Harriett departed this life having left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Harriett was the proud mother of five children, including her eldest son, Keron, who preceded her in death. She was the cherished grandmother to many and the epitome of grace, strength, and unwavering selflessness. Her life was a living testament to love in action—always putting others before herself and offering comfort, wisdom, and joy to her family. Her nurturing spirit was the foundation of her home, and her love knew no bounds.

In October 2024, Harriett made the brave decision to leave her home and migrate to the United States to be with her eldest daughter, Kennecia, and her grandchildren, Marquis and Jaleesa. She embraced this new chapter with grace, faith, and her ever-present quiet strength. Her move was an act of profound love, once again placing her family at the center of her world.

Though she is no longer with us in body, the light of Harriett’s spirit continues to shine brightly in the lives she touched. Her legacy lives on through the lessons she taught, the sacrifices she made, and the love she so freely gave.

Harriett is preceded in death by loved ones who now welcome her home. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children—Kennecia, Shamara, Tion, and Tasheira—her seven  grandchildren, her precious great-grandson, and a host of extended family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may we honor her by living with the same kindness, resilience, and love she gave so freely.
