Harold Eugene "Gene" Douglass

Harold Eugene "Gene" Douglass, Jr. of Severn, MD passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD, at the age of 65. Gene was born on August 12, 1947 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Harold Eugene Douglass, Sr. and Aileen (Trusler) Douglass.

Gene had two main interests in his life, electronics and shooting. He was able to utilize both interests when he enlisted in the Navy where he served as a Gunner's Mate and Sharpshooter on the USS Juneau from 1966 to 1970. After his tour of duty he continued to serve his country as a civilian employee with the Department of Defense station at Fort Meade, MD until his retirement.

Gene is survived by his wife, Barbara Elizabeth Douglass; daughter, Julie Douglass DeMino; son, James Mason Douglass; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Christiana and Antonietta DeMino and Tyler, Kaitlyn and Jacob Douglass and his sister, Barbara Ann Amodio

Family and Friends will gather at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sarah's House, 2015 20th Street, Fort Meade, MD 20755-1301.
