Gregory Jerome Jackson was born on September 02, 1959 to the late Dolores Jackson Wells and Edward Lee Robinson, in Selma, AL.

Greg confessed Christ at an early age at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Selma, AL.

He joined the US Army in 1977 where he served as a Material Supply Specialist.

Years later he moved to Severn, MD where he attended the Living Waters Worship Center. He volunteered and served on the church cooking team “The Garden of Eaten”, where he enjoyed meeting and talking with all types of people.

Greg attended TESST College of Technology where he received his Medical Assistant Certification, with honors. He was employed with the VA Hospital where he held a position until he departed this life on Friday, September 04, 2015.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Gregory Dewayne Jackson of Selma, AL; a daughter, Kayla Gant of Camden, NJ; three aunts, Theresa (Herbert) Robinson (aunt/sister) of Severn, MD, Brenda (Ronald) McNeill (aunt/sister) of Columbia, SC and Hazel Peace of Selma, AL; a very special friend, Jane Dent of Baltimore, MD; a best Friend, Dale Marshall of Severn, MD; twelve cousins; one great aunt and a host of relatives and friends.

Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you we would walk side by side through life. But, when I needed you most, I see only one set of footprints in the sand. The Lord replied, “I love you and I would never leave you, during your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints it was then I carried you.”
