On December 31, 2016, Glenn Y. Murakami, passed away at the age of 70. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Glenn was a resident of Odenton for 40 years. Devoted father of Amy M. Wilson and her husband Robert of Odenton, Michael Murakami and his wife Nancy, and Denise Arnold and her husband Jerry; loving brother of Mark Murakami (Oregon), Lori Ing (Hawaii), Jan Murakami (Hawaii), and Lynn Tomanaha (Oregon); beloved grandfather of Tyler A. Wilson, Sydney R. Wilson, both of Odenton, and Anthony and Andrew Murakami and Jennifer Donaldson and Jordon Boseck. Glenn was predeceased by his brother Brian Murakami.
Glenn proudly served his county as a Major in the United States Army until retiring. He worked for Sears for over 30 years. He was an avid fan of both the Baltimore Ravens and Army football, as well as many women’s sports. He enjoyed listening to country music and especially Elvis. Most of all, Glenn loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
