Geraldine Patricia (Ziegler) Long

Geraldine Patricia Long, a resident of Severn, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 72. Geraldine was born on April 21, 1944 in Baltimore, MD and was the daughter of the late Walter Joseph Ziegler, Sr. and Blanche (Conway) Ziegler.
Geraldine loved good food and traveling, enjoyed going to movies & plays, and spending quality time with family and friends. She worked many years in the transportation industry and after retirement acquired a real estate license. She also volunteered as a meals on wheels representative, in order to give back to the community.
Geraldine is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, James Long of Severn, MD; four loving daughters, Lisa Dawson of Tallahassee, FL, Sandy Bodine of Medford, NJ, Cheryl Weiman of Pasadena, MD and Brenda Hemanes of Tallahassee, FL; devoted son, Jeff Pullen of Tallahassee, FL; dear brother, Walter J. Ziegler, Jr. of Berkley Springs, WV; 11 cherished grandchildren, and her beloved dog Missy.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th Fl, New York, NY 10001.
