Geraldine "Gerry" M. (Wagner) Cashen

On December 16, 2016, Geraldine “Gerry” M. Cashen of Cordova, formerly of Severn, passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was 87. Loving daughter of the late Edward and Violet Wagner, Gerry was one of six children. Devoted wife of 57 years to the late William E. Cashen; Beloved mother of Pat Twardowski and her husband Joe, and Brenda Matheson and her husband Keith; Loving grandmother of Karen Fischer and her husband John, Matt Twardowski and his wife Tina, Steven LeCompte, Stephanie Brown and her husband Brian, Kristopher Matheson and Mitchell Matheson; Cherished great-grandmother of 5, with one on the way.

Gerry worked as an Anne Arundel County Crossing Guard at Ridgeway Elementary School on Telegraph Road for 31 years before retiring. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed socializing with the ladies in the crafting club. Gerry was also a member of the O’Malley Senior Center and the Easton Senior Group and enjoyed going on various day trips, as well as playing the slot machines.  Most especially, Gerry loved spending time with her family, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
