George Williams, III of Hanover, Maryland, passed away on November 14, 2014 in Dothan, Alabama. George was born on July 23, 1967 in Dothan, Alabama and was the son of Terrie J. Williams and George Williams, Jr.
George received a four year scholarship to Alabama A &M where he earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, while also perusing his military career. George proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. While serving in the Army George earned the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, The Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Mobilization. George ran his business in residential and commercial construction where many local residents have come to know him as a hard working and funny guy.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Yimsha Williams; four children, De'ja McEntyre, Marius McEntyre, Nija Williams and George Williams IV; two sisters, Sonya Williams and Anita Cummings and many loving family members and friends.
