Frank Kenneth Leannarda

May 13, 1936 — December 5, 2024

Frank Kenneth Leannarda, born on May 13, 1936, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, in Odenton, Maryland. A devoted family man, Frank was known for his infectious laughter and unwavering commitment to his loved ones. He was a loving father to Christy Elliott (Vince) of Severna Park, MD; Craig Dillon (Lori) of Laurel, MD; and Pamela Campi (Perry) of Raleigh, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Leannarda, daughter, Kathryn Dillon, and siblings Charles, Robert, and Mary; and is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Rachel Fraley, Jason Dillon, Kerri Dillon, Mathew Dillon, Madison Avon, and Cheyenne Elliott, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was a retired employee of Baxter in Laurel, MD, where he was known for his reliability and commitment. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing softball and basketball, and was a passionate woodworker. His love for sports was evident, as he could often be found watching baseball, basketball, football, and boxing. A man who adored candy and music he could dance to, Frank filled every room with joy, often lightening difficult moments with a joke.  He was the “fun grown-up”. His home was where his heart was, and he cherished spending time with family above all else. Known to his grandchildren as “Poppy”, Frank was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ and he loved his God, often finding solace in scripture. He was active in his church community and was well-regarded for his warm, happy spirit. Frank's laughter was truly his superpower, allowing him to navigate life's challenges with grace and humor. He smiled and laughed to the end, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

In his memory, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity he regarded as especially worthy.
