Everardo Estrada Rios, 73, a resident of Baltimore, MD passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Everardo was born December 29, 1949 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Juan Sebastian Estrada and Mercedes Rios.
Everardo is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Ofelia Rodriguez; son Everardo Estrada Rodriguez (Jamison); daughters Yazmin Estrada Rodriguez (Jesse), Ivonne Estrada, Fabiola Burcham (Shawn), Rosalva Estrada; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many brothers and sisters-in-law and his dearest pets, Bobo, Simba and Coco.
Everardo immigrated to the United States 37 years ago to provide a better future for his family. Everarado selflessly left a country he cherished to ensure his children grew up with more opportunities.
He was a semi-professional soccer player in Mexico and even in his later years when he could no longer take the field, he continued planning his days around televised games and Championship reruns.
He loved eating spicy foods, even while he sweat profusely, claiming, “no pica.”
Although he enjoyed many things, nothing compared to Everardo’s love for his family. His ability to sacrifice, provide and support those around him will remain ingrained in the lives he has touched, long after his passing. He will be missed tremendously.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, PA in Odenton, MD on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
